Officer Kristin Klimek - 2B6 was born and raised in Central Nebraska. Officer Klimek comes to the MPD with 11 years in the Law Enforcement field. In 2000, she began working as a police dispatcher. Then in 2002 she moved to SE Nebraska where she was employed as a Corrections Supervisor of a county jail. In 2005, she went to work for the Nebraska Dept. of Corrections as a Corrections Corporal. In 2006, she was hired with Gage County Sheriff's Office as a Patrol Deputy where she served the people of Gage County until March 2011.
While at Gage County Sheriffs Office, Officer Klimek started and ran the GCSO's Shop with the Cop Christmas Program. This program works closely with local schools to help children have a positive interaction with law enforcement and have a happy and Merry Christmas. Officer Klimek has conducted a wide range of investigations and has attended trainings such as Field Training Officer, OC instructor and PPCT instructor courses. Officer Klimek is a dedicated law enforcement officer and looks forward to serving the Montpelier community.
